At the heart of simulation-based training is HelpMeSee. Students are also taught how to make backup plans for when things don\u2019t go as expected\u2014a critical skill for real-world surgical practice. \u201cEvery eyeball is not the same,\u201d she said. \u201cYou\u2019ll get stuck sometimes, and when that happens, you need to have a clear mind and a plan. That\u2019s something we can teach through simulation, especially when they revisit complication modules.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
