The key&nbsp;objective&nbsp;of&nbsp;HelpMeSee\u2019s&nbsp;research is to accelerate the acquisition of excellent cataract surgery skills and live surgery practice delivery. You have already agreed to receive&nbsp;HelpMeSee&nbsp;Training and to&nbsp;permit&nbsp;us to use the data we collect from&nbsp;your training to&nbsp;assist&nbsp;us in the continuous improvement of our programs&nbsp;in accordance with&nbsp;our Terms &amp; Conditions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To support&nbsp;HelpMeSee\u2019s&nbsp;objective of continuous improvement, you provide your Consent to&nbsp;HelpMeSee&nbsp;to share your de-identified, individual level or collective training data with research collaborators outside of&nbsp;HelpMeSee&nbsp;(your \u201cConsent\u201d).&nbsp;HelpMeSee&nbsp;collaborates with outside researchers when we&nbsp;determine&nbsp;they can help&nbsp;validate&nbsp;and improve our simulation-based training, accelerate our research, drive scientific breakthroughs and discoveries, and&nbsp;generally&nbsp;assist&nbsp;us to continuously improve our practice readiness&nbsp;to&nbsp;support and deliver the best&nbsp;surgical&nbsp;skills training in cataract and&nbsp;surgical&nbsp;practices&nbsp;available, with the highest standard of patient safety and results.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This Consent&nbsp;constitutes your valid and enforceable&nbsp;consent and serves as a supplement to our Individual Enrollment Form Terms and Conditions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bb What am I agreeing to?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En signant ce consentement, vous comprenez que HelpMeSee partagera vos donn\u00e9es individuelles d\u00e9personnalis\u00e9es avec des chercheurs approuv\u00e9s en dehors de HelpMeSee.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bb What does \u201cde-identified\u201d mean?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De-identified means that we strip the data of information that could directly&nbsp;identify&nbsp;you (such as name, date of birth, and address) and connect any study information&nbsp;you provide by using a random code (for example a study ID). Any performance and self-reported Information&nbsp;you allow us to share will be associated with that code, not with&nbsp;your name.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bb What does \u201cindividual-level\u201d mean?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Individual level means the data are related to a single person. Allowing researchers to have access to individual-level data allows them to analyze the data more thoroughly, which may help them make more meaningful scientific discoveries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bb Who are the HelpMeSee research collaborators?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Research partners range from academic institutions and non-profit organizations to demographic and public health departments.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bb What are the additional benefits?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sharing your individual-level data will allow more researchers to study and analyze the data more thoroughly. This may increase the chance that meaningful scientific discoveries are made, such as greater understanding of accelerated surgery skills acquisition through simulation-based training and the development of future simulation-based training modules.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on the information you provide, HelpMeSee or our research collaborators may make new discoveries. In the future, those discoveries could lead to new products or services including services for commercial development and deployment of simulation-based surgery training. If this happens, these products or services will be the property of HelpMeSee and in certain cases the researchers who developed them and you will not receive any compensation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bb What are the additional risks?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sharing&nbsp;your individual-level data means&nbsp;your data would be stored in more locations.
