Pendant plus de trente ans, Al a soutenu Orbis dans sa mission de traiter la c\u00e9cit\u00e9 \u00e9vitable gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l'H\u00f4pital Volant Orbis, permettant aux ophtalmologistes b\u00e9n\u00e9voles de se rendre aux quatre coins du monde pour traiter la c\u00e9cit\u00e9 \u00e9vitable et renforcer les soins oculaires dans les pays en d\u00e9veloppement.<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Al avait les comp\u00e9tences et le d\u00e9vouement n\u00e9cessaires pour faire la diff\u00e9rence<\/strong> et \u00e9tait convaincu que la formation d'ophtalmologistes locaux qui resteraient dans leurs propres communaut\u00e9s \u00e9tait la solution pour apporter un v\u00e9ritable changement pour les aveugles. Ce cours autonome d'une journ\u00e9e, dirig\u00e9 par un instructeur, enseigne les comp\u00e9tences essentielles pour faire face aux complications qui peuvent survenir au cours d'une op\u00e9ration chirurgicale et peut \u00eatre compl\u00e9t\u00e9 par des stagiaires inscrits \u00e0 d'autres cours HelpMeSee. La formation HelpMeSee permet aux sp\u00e9cialistes de la cataracte de s'exercer \u00e0 la chirurgie et d'apprendre \u00e0 g\u00e9rer les complications par le biais d'une simulation, plut\u00f4t que dans l'\u0153il humain avec un patient vivant.<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>En juin 2022,<\/strong> HelpMeSee a annonc\u00e9 la sortie d'un livre \u00e9lectronique sur la chirurgie manuelle de la cataracte par petite incision (MSICS) qui offre une exp\u00e9rience d'apprentissage immersive gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 de riches multim\u00e9dias, des d\u00e9monstrations chirurgicales en direct et un guide \u00e9tape par \u00e9tape de la proc\u00e9dure chirurgicale.
