Joe G., grand-p\u00e8re et donateur de HelpMeSee, nous a racont\u00e9 l'histoire de sa petite-fille de 8 ans, \u00e0 qui il a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d'enseigner les valeurs familiales de l'aide aux moins fortun\u00e9s et de l'aider \u00e0 comprendre que la philanthropie est une le\u00e7on de vie.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ce grand-p\u00e8re a pris six brochures d'organisations caritatives mondiales populaires et les a \u00e9tal\u00e9es sur la table de la salle \u00e0 manger. Il a ensuite donn\u00e9 \u00e0 sa petite-fille trois billets de $5 distincts. Le grand-p\u00e8re a demand\u00e9 \u00e0 sa petite-fille de parcourir chaque brochure et de choisir les trois organisations caritatives qui devraient recevoir les dons de $5.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Lorsque la petite-fille est arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 la brochure HelpMeSee, elle a demand\u00e9 : \"Grand-p\u00e8re, comment c'est d'\u00eatre aveugle ?\".<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Le grand-p\u00e8re pensait que la meilleure fa\u00e7on d'expliquer la c\u00e9cit\u00e9 \u00e0 sa petite-fille \u00e9tait de lui bander les yeux et de la laisser essayer de marcher dans la maison.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Le grand-p\u00e8re marche \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de sa petite-fille en veillant \u00e0 ce qu'elle ne tr\u00e9buche pas et ne se cogne pas la t\u00eate.<\/p>\n

De retour \u00e0 la table de la salle \u00e0 manger, la petite-fille a retir\u00e9 son bandeau et s'est exclam\u00e9e : \"Grand-p\u00e8re, nous devons donner tout notre argent pour aider les aveugles\", d\u00e9clarant que ses trois factures $5 devaient aller \u00e0 HelpMeSee.<\/p>\n

Aujourd'hui encore, Joe G., sa petite-fille et leur famille soutiennent chaque ann\u00e9e HelpMeSee dans sa mission consistant \u00e0 gu\u00e9rir la c\u00e9cit\u00e9 due \u00e0 la cataracte en formant des sp\u00e9cialistes de la cataracte au service des pauvres des pays en d\u00e9veloppement.<\/p>\n
