Situ\u00e9 \u00e0 la Polyclinique d'IIafy \u00e0 Antananarivo, le projet en cours est le fruit d'un accord entre le minist\u00e8re malgache de la sant\u00e9, la Polyclinique d'IIafy et HelpMeSee, qui utilise des simulateurs de r\u00e9alit\u00e9 virtuelle et un programme de formation de pointe pour favoriser le changement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

En fait, aujourd'hui, selon le minist\u00e8re malgache de la sant\u00e9 publique, seuls 25 chirurgiens sont en mesure de pratiquer des op\u00e9rations de la cataracte qui changent la vie \u00e0 Madagascar, ce qui signifie que seules 372 op\u00e9rations sont r\u00e9alis\u00e9es chaque ann\u00e9e pour chaque million de personnes qui en ont besoin..<\/em>\u00a0 On estime que seuls 10% des nouveaux cas de cataracte sont op\u00e9r\u00e9s chaque ann\u00e9e, ce qui augmente r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement et consid\u00e9rablement le nombre de cas en attente d'une intervention chirurgicale.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ce partenariat innovant a d\u00e9but\u00e9 en 2015, lorsque le Dr Jean Marie Andre, m\u00e9decin conseil \u00e0 HelpMeSee, a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 former des chirurgiens \u00e0 Madagascar. Son travail a suscit\u00e9 l'int\u00e9r\u00eat du minist\u00e8re de la Sant\u00e9 malgache, car plusieurs chirurgiens ont appris \u00e0 passer de la proc\u00e9dure ECCE \u00e0 la proc\u00e9dure MSICS. Aujourd'hui, ces chirurgiens form\u00e9s, sous la houlette du professeur L\u00e9a Roabella, chef du service d'ophtalmologie de l'h\u00f4pital HRJA, vont dispenser \u00e0 la Polyclinique d'Ilafy une formation par simulation aux m\u00e9decins et ophtalmologistes pour devenir des sp\u00e9cialistes de la cataracte.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
