Tech Execs Restoring Sight is a visionary group of enterprise technology leaders (COOs, CTOs, CIOs, EVPs, Directors and more) that support HelpMeSee, a US-based global non-profit dedicated to eradicating cataract blindness in the world in our lifetime.
There are an estimated 100M people in the world suffering from visual impairment or blindness due to cataract.
The cause of this massive backlog is a critical shortage of cataract specialists in the world who are trained to perform what is typically an inexpensive and simple procedure that immediately restores sight.
To address this issue, HelpMeSee leverages cutting edge, virtual reality, simulation-based training to train thousands of cataract specialists each year to ensure that all communities, especially those with severe economic hardship, have access to cataract treatment as a human right to sight. With more than 40 simulators and 11 training centers worldwide, HelpMeSee partners with governments, universities, and innovators to fight the global cataract blindness crisis.
